Jorja Fox was found by chance on a model search at a local mall when she was given the chance to see what she could do. From that point on, it became apparent that modeling would be in her best interest, at least until she found her way into acting. But Jorja Fox doesn’t just act, she’s a musician who plays the guitar (badly, according to her) and owns a drum set. She sings and writes songs, including “Lullabye”, which she wrote for the film “Traveling Companion”, and “Satellite”, which she posted on her official website.
When Jorja Fox joined the cast of CSI, she had already tackled some heavy lifting. She was on “Missing Persons” during the ’90s and played Dr. Maggie Doyle in nearly three dozen episodes of “ER.” Fox fans may also remember her from the handful of episodes of “The West Wing” where she played Gina Toscano, a secret service agent. While many viewers recognized her from those earlier roles, it was “CSI” that really elevated her career.
But not everything was easy on CSI, after reading the scripts, Jorja Fox used to have nightmares . Given that the show was about some truly heinous crimes, it’s easy to see how the scripts could give anyone nightmares, especially since it wasn’t the kind of show she’d let her kids watch all the time.
Jorja Fox fans have very few opportunities to see the actress who played Sara Sidle on CSI in public.
In 2004, prior to “CSI” season 5, Jorja Fox and her co-star George Eads were fired. Supposedly, the two had been playing hardball in hopes of receiving significant pay raises. When Fox and Eads disappeared as the first table read for the new season began, CBS executives wasted no time in firing them both. However, the situation was soon resolved and both actors returned to ‘CSI’, at least for a while.
Jorja Fox is single and could probably get married one day. In her entire life, she has been known to date a man. Gary Dourdan, who rose to fame for his role as Warrick Brown on CSI, the actress has been very private on a personal level, rarely appearing in public after CSI.
