Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley , best known for their roles as Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake on The CW’s The 100, made headlines in June 2019 when they announced they had married. The news came as a surprise to many, as the two didn’t go public with their relationship until the wedding announcement. Although Taylor and Morley have since become more open about their relationship , details about their love story remain few. Which is why fans of the couple were pleasantly surprised when Taylor casually took to Instagram earlier this week to share how she and Morley started dating and eventually realized they were meant for each other.
Eliza Taylor, 30, and Bob Morley, 35, have been friends since they started working on The 100 in 2013. However, their friendship didn’t turn into romance until 2019. Eliza Taylor wrote that she felt her platonic relationship with Morley was “evolving” into something more in February of that year when they “bonded over the pain of the breakup” with their respective exes and “spoke about the daunting process of being single again.” The actress said they “laughed and cried” together at the time “as friends do.”
Their relationship, however, completely “changed” the following month when Bob Morley visited Eliza Taylor and her friend at their new Vancouver apartment. “Came over to help set up our new place when out of the blue she asked me out,” Taylor wrote. “It seemed silly since we had been friends for so long, in fact, I thought he was joking! But I laughed and said yes.” The actress called the date a “success” and said it was the first time they had “really seen each other”.

When they flew back to their home country of Australia in April of the same year, Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley discovered that they share the same dreams , and that brought them even closer. “While we were sitting on the porch of her sister’s house looking at the farm, we talked about the future, what we wanted to happen in our lives,” Taylor wrote. “We wanted all the same things. Living in the country, having children, continuing to pursue our dreams in Los Angeles while having a solid base in Australia. And as easily as that conversation came about, so did the proposal. We said: ‘We want this life, we want it together, so let’s waste no more time and get married.’”
The following month, the couple married on a mountaintop in Hawaii . And even though things between them happened so fast, Eliza Taylor made it clear that they weren’t trying to break the internet or hurt her exes. “We were in love. Plain and simple,” she explained. After the wedding, her husband and wife bought a house and farm in Australia, which she called her “forever home”. In February 2022, Taylor and Bob Morley took to Instagram to announce that they were expecting their first child together.
