Sex and the City fans and co-stars have been paying tribute to Willie Garson, who sadly died after reportedly losing his battle with cancer on 21st September.
Willie Garson, best known for playing Carrie Bradshaw’s gay best friend, Stanford Blatch, in Sex and the City, died aged 57 and leaves behind his adopted son.
The star had recently reprised his role as Stanford in the upcoming And Just Like That spin-off series. We’re not yet sure how much of the series was filmed before the actor’s death and how the producers plan on handling it in the show.
Although Garson played a gay character in the hit sit com, he was actually heterosexual, which has led many fans to wondering who his partner was.
Who is Willie Garson’s wife?
Willie Garson’s dating life was kept private, so we’re not sure who he was last seeing. In February 2020, he was photographed with an unnamed female “companion” at the 92nd Academy Awards.
Garson didn’t appear to be associated with a wife or partner at the time of his death, only his son, who was one of the first people to announce his passing.
Who is Willie Garson’s son Nathen Garson?
Nathen Garson was adopted by the actor in 2009, at age seven. Nathan is the only child Willie Garson had.
Nathen is also a budding actor, who has featured in White Collar (2009) alongside his father and Whole Day Down (2011), according to his IMdB profile.
In a social media post, Nathen wrote, “I love you so much papa. Rest In Peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I’m so proud of you.
“I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own. You’ll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I’m glad you can be at peace now.
“You always were the toughest and funniest and smartest person I’ve known. I’m glad you shared your love with me. I’ll never forget it or lose it.”
